DISCUSSION MEETING
on

Organized by Raphy Bar, Ph.D (Pharmos, PDA President)

To be held on Monday, July 9, 16:30h-19:00h
at Lev Hakongressim, Weizmann Science Park, Ness Ziona

While classical methods for identifying microbes rely on morphology, enzymatic substrate conversion, or carbon source utilization, which provide only subjective phenotypic identification, genotypic methods are based on the DNA sequence of the ribosomal RNA genes, which is the new basis for bacterial taxonomic classification, leading to accurate and reproducible identification.
Genotypic methods for identification are recommended by FDA
.
